Just wanted to say a quick and BIG THANK YOU to everyone for a wonderful event yesterday and OMG I am humbled by the expression of gratitude for the work by y'all!
We shall continue - lots of folks pledged their support and we are getting to the goal - and I also got some great new ideas yesterday while streaming for additional events besides the more elaborate reportage/documentary stuff! Little roundtable talks anyone? Quick eye-candy here and there, and then every 6 weeks a bigger story? Stay tuned :)
OMG this is truly fantastic!... wow, ten years, that's half the life of SL itself! You did a most extraordinary work which will be hard to match. But... here's to another ten years, in whatever format you might figure out that works best now :)
Oh, and I missed "Made in Second Life" at the Academy Award nominations for Best Documentary. What happened? Tsk tsk. Those Hollywooders don't know what's *quality* these days!
A fascinating story Drax, those 10 years probably felt much longer and you got to meet and know people from so many different walks of life, young, old, creators and people who just wanted to tell their story. Quite fascinating and even though things are changing, I hope you still find time and effort to continue documenting SL in some way, because you became an integral part of telling the world about us and the worlds and stories we create.
Your videos have formed a unique panorama of everything wonderful about second life. I have no doubt that they have brought thousands of people to the SL world and stimulated many thousands more to engage it further. Everybody I know in second life is aware of your work and has benefited from it repeatedly. Thank you for your creativity and your determination in generating this wonderful content.
Drax I don’t think you realize how amazing you are! You are so easy going yet you ask the questions that everyone wants answers to. I was so nervous to do the piece on Ku’Lani beach but you made me realize how important it is to keep this beautiful community together in a world of so much hate, you can find peace in a virtual paradise! I am so looking forward to your future work. It was an honor to work with you my friend! Thank you for being you!
