Thanks for reminding us, Drax! It was an amazing experience, and just so folks know, I even wrote an article about the process of making it with you and with everyone! It's "Paraethnographic Film: Virtual Enactment and Collaboration in Our Digital Selves" (Visual Anthropology Review 37 (1): 8–30. doi.org/10.1111/var.12225). Amazing, amazing work, Drax!
Tom THANK YOU! Is there any chance to get access to the article you wrote? I have it downloaded from back in the day but it is not freely avail on the website. Also: is this publication in physical form as well? I collect these things hehehe - maybe an extra copy somewhere?
In terms of physical copies—Visual Anthropology Review does also publish physically, but I don't even think I have a copy (I really use PDFs mostly nowadays). But you could get it... I'll double check in my office later this week...
yes great that link works (that is the one I have archived as well). If you come across physical copies = that be awesome!! Please keep them in a safe place, next time I am in the area (when the likelihood of getting sent to El Salvador in shackles upon entry is perhaps less of a concern) I will pick it up ;)
thank you for the comment! I hope it refers to the whole film. Please do comment there if you will? There are so many amazing stories shared as well over the years it has been out. Nice repository of what SL means to people.
